About Cousins Calabazzi
It is the scorching July of 1977, and all hell is breaking loose. Fires, blackouts and a roaming serial killer plague the streets of New York City. Perched high above their Bronx plumbing parts factory, the Calabazzi brothers puff cheap cigars and wipe sweat from their brows in relief. Piper and Emilia, their twenty-year-old daughters have arrived safely in Italy for a chaperoned tour of the old country.
Free from the restrictions of the ‘Calabazzi grip’, it does not take the girls long to ditch their itinerary and run off to the Amalfi coast with their “hunky” tour guide and his soccer playing friend.
Is it a sin, or real love? “Who cares!” Piper and Emilia are on their own, free and wildly topless in the glistening waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea until their side trip to romance ends in a disastrous discovery.
Over the next forty years, the cousins choose opposite lifestyles from New York to Miami while sharing an unbreakable bond forged that scandalous summer.
Now pushing sixty, they decide to risk it all and join forces, resurrecting an old dream at the site of their original disgrace, the Amalfi Coast. What could go wrong?
